This month's Cub Scout pack meeting, went a little wild. Wild West that is. The night took us to the campfire with the cow pokes singing songs, lassoing the horses and drinking from the water hole. Nice work boys! Check out the photo gallery for some more fun shots.
Sometimes I wish I had girls that played quietly with dolls. Not! I love that my boys are not afraid of a silly little snake. Sam took them to a Reptile Convention at the State Fairgrounds. Definitely a favorite spot for these adventure-go-getters. Love it!
Much to the boys' delight, we added another boy to our family. But this one has four legs and a very long tongue! Meet Zinger. He is such a calm dog and a perfect addition to our family. He is a boxer mix, with a beautiful brindle coat. He looks like a tiger with all his stripes and patterns. Sam loves the daily walks with him and the boys love playing catch and running with him at the dog park. Zinger's a keeper!
We're in Gator country now, so we are learning to love them. We drove down to the Everglades and took a boat tour through the Glades, took in an Alligator show, and got to hold this little cute thing named "Snappy." Talk about some exciting things for our adventurous boys. Check out the gallery for all the beautiful scenery and the large snappers along the way.
It is not everyday that you get to tour a newly finished LDS temple before it is dedicated. We headed south to Ft. Lauderdale to tour the newly finished building and it was breathtaking. The outside was kind of a coral tinted sandstone and the interior featured lots of dark wood, blue, green, and palm tree leaves all throughout. The boys probably don't understand quite yet the significance of the visit, but now they can say they have been in a temple and can look forward to the time when they can enter again.
Toad was awarded the Sportsmanship award for the week. He has really improved and cheers loudly for his teammates. Being the littlest kid on the team has its challenges, but he is so fun to watch. We are so proud of you. Keep up the good work!
In a compromise to our football loving boys wanting to play tackle football, we started flag football. We all love it! Tiger and Toad have had great moments, scoring touchdowns, intercepting passes, and making great flag pulls. They get to be on the same team and have their dad be their Assistant Coach. We love spending our Saturday mornings watching these cute boys. These boys amaze me every day. Go Bucs!
Grandpa and Grandma Thomas came to visit us for 6 days and we loved having them. We showed them the sites, but had the most fun playing at the beach, watching a silly movie at the drive-in and cheering on Sam, TIger and Toad during their first flag football game. Tiger even taught G&G a really hard game called Agricula. It was also nice to have babysitters for a much needed Date Night. They will be heading to Brazil soon for a mission for our church, so we probably won't see them again for almost 2 years. Thanks for coming Grandpa & Grandma!
