For my birthday this year, I got a relaxing, child-free dinner at a fabulous seafood restaurant on the Tampa Bay. I had the most delicious crabcakes, house salad with balsamic viniagrette, and to-die-for Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta. We sat on the balcony and watched the big yachts and smaller boats dock while we ate. Afterwards, when we were too stuffed to do much, we walked along the coast and drooled over the $$$$ water-front property. I love my husband and loved the beautiful views and conversation. Thanks babe!
You can't live in Florida and not love going to the beach! This was our first Florida beach experience and it was awesome. Silky sand, mellow waves, and to-die-for fish tacos. This beach was rated #1 beach in the USA in 2011 and for good reason. We will definitely be returning often.
We drove about ten minutes to a local Nature Reserve to get good seats for the fireworks over the bay. From where we were seated we could see Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg's firework shows. Well, in theory anyway. It was terribly overcast and the rain started coming down shortly before the show. The lightning show was pretty impressive, however. We eventually wimped out and drove home, only to discover that there was a huge show right next to our subdivision and we literally stopped on the side of the rode and had the fireworks shoot off directly over our heads. Cool.
Life is sure busy, but we love being involved and active. Here, you can read about our daily adventures and behind the scenes antics of the Eskelson Five.
